ABOUT THE GROUP

Deftones is an influential American alternative metal band formed in Sacramento, California, in 1988. Known for their eclectic and experimental sound, Deftones blend elements of metal, shoegaze, and post-hardcore, creating a unique style characterized by Moreno's ethereal vocals and Carpenter's heavy guitar riffs.

Their breakthrough came with the 1995 album "Adrenaline," but it was their 2000 release, "White Pony," that solidified their place in the metal and alternative scenes, earning critical acclaim and a Grammy Award nomination. Deftones' music is celebrated for its atmospheric textures, emotional intensity, and innovative approach to metal, making them a pioneering force in the genre. Despite lineup changes and personal challenges, the band has maintained a dedicated fan base and continues to influence new generations of musicians.
